Indie Electronic

Getting Deeper Podcast #60 mixed by Henk

Berlin’s Henk has given Getting Deeper something it has never released before – a groovy, funky french electro set with a hint of deep for its 60th podcast.

Definitely made for summery days, the set will transport you to a sunny Miami in a Mustang. Disco-ish beats are placed under a groovy, soulful melody that is wrapped around a lush vibe. It’s for those of us who love music to the likes of Kartell and Satin Jackets who are famous for their french touch in electro music, sometimes known as Indie Electronic.

The set has a familiar sound because every track in it has adapted many, many different old school styles such as retro, disco and funk. Everything is combined to form a style that, despite sounding familiar, is not everyone’s cup of tea. But if it is your cup of tea, you will love the sultry, dirty vibes that come with it. It must be noted that Henk has mixed the set very well. Each track compliments the other and forms a wholesome package that we can boast is a unique style today.

We hope you enjoy this set as much as we do. Listen to it on your speakers when you are a little drunk, and a little high… and you will get into the groove as much as we do. Because it is made for those dirty, sultry, drunken nights… unless it is a sunny day in Miami in a Mustang!

Thank you Henk <3

RรœFรœS – Take Me (Miguel Campbell Remix)

Easily my favorite part in Christophe’s podcast for Getting Deeper, the coming in of “Take Me” by Rufus, remixed by Miguel Campbell is when the set takes off on another level for me. So I naturally had to search for it on Soundcloud and listen to it again, and again… and again.

Summery, disco beats are paired with very hot vibes in this track. The end result is a flirtatious and groovy sound packed with so much goodness that a lot of times it is hard to contain. Very tasteful and very handsome <3

BANKS – Warm Water (Snakehips Remix)

After listening to this song, it has been on repeat ever since. Summery, warm, indie vibes are what you will get after pressing play on ‘Warm Water’… something that Snakehips is great at. Perfect for the summer that is rolling in.

Satin Jackets presents “Between the Beats”

Warm, fuzzy and very sensual, Satin Jackets’ “Between the Beats” is a good 1 hour dose of French Electro goodness. Enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚

Novo Amor – From Gold (Mateo Roksandic Remix)

Mateo Roksandic’s remix of ‘Gold’ by Novo Amor is a French Electro edit that is perfect for warm, sunny days. Slow, deep beats and soulful tones come through in this track to provide a very comforting listening experience. Indie and very heartwarming, this track is the perfect antidote for a heavy heart. Come to the breakdown and it’s going to lift you up, slowly and nicely. Enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚

THE VIBE GUIDE Podcast 019 Guest Mix by Fitz Lauder

It’s so refreshing to find sets that embrace the summer vibes and smooth consistencies of beats, trap and chillwave soundtracks. Most sets I have come across are deep house/techno oriented. Fitz Lauder, in his guest mix for The Vibe Guide, has given me exactly what I needed to break the monotony of listening to the same style of music. He has combined different styles and at the same time he has created something very wholesome by maintaining a consistent vibe. This set comprises of sparkling sounds, creamy rich progressions and Indie beats to give us something that we call French Electro. Even though the transitions are noticeable and real, you can feel that they are meant to be that way. The shift between two soundtracks is done just right. Very very nice!

Goldroom – Embrace (Novaday Remix)

Novaday’s Remix of ‘Embrace’ by Goldroom spells out Indie Electronic. Slow, disco-ish beats with highly pitched vocals combined with a retro vibe make up the first half of Indie Electronic. The next half consists of contemporary ‘hipster’ like teenage afflictions. And it’s always so damn enjoyable.

Rufus & Chaka Khan – Ain’t Nobody Project Tempo Re-edit

It’s a dark but lovely Tuesday night. And there is nothing better to grace it than this electric edit by Project Tempo of ‘Ain’t Nobody.’ Tracks like this only remind us of how experimental electronic music can be. The number of variations and vibes that you can derive out of a single sample is absolutely amazing. This edit of ‘Ain’t Nobody’ is a unique French Electro version of the original track. It consists of soft beats, nu disco influences and sparkling underwater sounds that, when combined in this way, are perfect for late night drives and city lights. Enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚

Breakbot “Baby, I’m Yours” feat. Irfane

I have been digging a lot of Indie Electronic lately, it’s nice because it is something relatively new to me… and seems a lot more interesting than the genres I usually listen to because of how new it is. ‘Baby I’m Yours’ by Breakbot feat. Irfane spells out Indie in every damn way. High pitched male vocals combined with retro-ish beats are wrapped in a summery vibe in this one, only to make you groove like you’ve never before and making you feel all nice and warm and fuzzy and stylishly retro. Enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚

Oxford – You and Me

Who is in the mood for some Indie Electronic today? Call it french house, nu disco or your standard deep house… Oxford’s You and me is still so damn Indie. Why? Play this sound, and listen to its honey coated vocals. Slowly get deeper into the beat, and you will begin to feel this track’s summery vibes and retro overtones. So nice <3 Do you feel a little bit more hipster now?
